A couple of years ago, the lovely lady of fashion and film, Sofia Coppola, took an adventure through Paris for the New York Times and gave them a glimpse of the city through her eyes.
“You naturally feel a connection to certain places, and, for me, Paris is one of them. I would look at my parents’ French friends and think,
‘That’s what you’re supposed to be like when you grow up’.”
The article, accompanied by a small photographic collection, includes a list of where Sofia shops for flowers, clothing, vintage magazines, lingeries, cocktails, and cheeseburgers.
Conde Naste Traveller recently posted a collection of 11 hotels and resorts whose pools have breath-taking views. This sounds like a pretty good deal to me! Let’s have a look, shall we?
The Four Seasons, Puntamita, Mexico
La Casa Que Canta, Zihuatanejo, Mexico
One & Only Reethi Rah, Maldives
Enchantment Resort, Sedona, Arizona
Of course, there are hundreds more, but the moral of the story is that I do like a nice pool. Don’t you agree?
Looking for something a bit different from the standard “wish you were here” postcard? Head to the World’s Smallest Postal Service based in the San Francisco Bay Area and send out your well wishes to the world… Just made tiny.
Lady of the letters Lea Redmond hand-scribes the little notes, sealed with a itty-bitty wax seal with the initial of the sender pressed into it. Along with a handy fold out magnifying glass, the letter gets posted from the WSPS to anywhere in the world.
To make everything even sweeter, Lea writes the tiny letters on a tiny writing desk. Woah! That’s dedication. We love it.

Or rather Tina spies lighthouses (on English Muse). They concoct images of a time when lives were seperated by distance, lonely images of the sea, and women waiting for their lovers to come home. It’s a bit more romantic than waiting patiently at the airport terminal, don’t you think?
