The Sydney International Food Festival has gotten pretty creative with food this year! Their advertising campaign features a series of international flags made entirely out of popular local fare. Yummo!
Here’s the delicious national flags from Italy, Greece, South Korea, India, and Spain. See more of these beauties here.

Never travel without a gadget or two? You shouldn’t! But you also shouldn’t crowd up your luggage with superfluous gadgets you’ll never use (we’ve all been there). Here’s some of the best little gadgets that will make your travel experience a whole lot smoother without wasting space…
Looking for something a bit different from the standard “wish you were here” postcard? Head to the World’s Smallest Postal Service based in the San Francisco Bay Area and send out your well wishes to the world… Just made tiny.
Lady of the letters Lea Redmond hand-scribes the little notes, sealed with a itty-bitty wax seal with the initial of the sender pressed into it. Along with a handy fold out magnifying glass, the letter gets posted from the WSPS to anywhere in the world.
To make everything even sweeter, Lea writes the tiny letters on a tiny writing desk. Woah! That’s dedication. We love it.
Or rather Tina spies lighthouses (on English Muse). They concoct images of a time when lives were seperated by distance, lonely images of the sea, and women waiting for their lovers to come home. It’s a bit more romantic than waiting patiently at the airport terminal, don’t you think?
Point Reyes, California & New Brighton, New South Wales
Scituate, Massachusetts & Grand Bend, Ontario & Lake Michigan
Scottish Highlands & Lake Michigan, Michigan
Flight 001 is a one stop shop for everything you could possibly need for travel. From luggage to lint-remover, these guys have got it! With a few stores gracing the coast of the US and an easy-to-use online store, it really does streamline travel-prep.
Although some of the products seem completely superfluous, like this Swiss Spice Salt & Pepper Kit, others like the F1 Jetfresh Kit (containing earplugs, a dental kit, lip balm, eye mask, moist towelettes, breath mints, moisturiser, a pen, and a deck of cards) are exactly what you need!
In April 2009, Lenka Clayton and Michael Crowe personally wrote and sent a mysterious letter to all of the 467 households in the Irish town of Cushendall. Why? All in the name of sparking up some community curiosity and good old conversation.
In a world where we hardly know our neighbours, it is such an apt idea. The letters range from postcards to pictures and wordy notes. Delightful!
Here are some more for you to read. I hope that they brighten your day!
